Author Carlos Schröder splits his time between Washington, D.C., and his native Buenos Aires, Argentina. His poems are concerned with the experiences of exile, loss, and the artificial borders we raise between each other, whether emotional, political, spiritual, or physical. Border & Frontier addresses all of these in one short poem.
The first edition of this book consisted of only two copies, and was printed only for the poet and a portfolio copy. It has a slipcover (of two different designs), the beads used on the closures are African trade beads, and the maps are solely from a Cavellini & Co. collection, except for the cover map. The second edition consists of 25 books with maps and cover from vintage National Geographic, The New York Times Historical Atlas, and Cavellini & Co. maps.
