Cupcake Coptic

BooksmadehereCupcakescoverI'm late getting these up, but I think this is one of my favorite books so far. I made this to cheer up a friend of mine who is also a fantastic poet, because writers always need a book to write in. She promptly decided she was going to use it for dessert recipes because just looking at it made her hungry. Makes me hungry too. And gives me a strange craving for . . . cupcakes. Hmmm, wonder why?

I just bought several more sheets of this paper in some different designs and will be making some more books, trying out new stitches, and perhaps some different designs. I found a fantastic ribbon book tutorial over on the Handmade Books community on LiveJournal that I want to try. She makes it look so easy! And really, the weather's so nice right now that I really should be making stuff and not sitting on my butt.

So stay tuned, there will be more books.
