Forgot to post this earlier, when I got back from Rob's. I made this as an ornament for his Christmas tree, which he was so excited about having for the first time last year. Ironically, this year he waited too long to get one and they were all gone by the time I got to Maine on the 21st. Now, I ask you, how can you run out of Christmas trees in Maine? Just askin'!

Speaking of Maine, there's an online exhibit of altered books at the Maine College of Art and the Portland Public Library, which Rob & I walked by and went into, respectively on our day in Portland. It wasn't on while we were there, but the cool thing is that you can now not just view them online, but literally check them out if you have a library card: "After a gallery exhibit and series of discussions opened to the public, these works were re-introduced into the Library system as new items and are now available to anyone in the United States who possesses a library card." |
That is a beautiful ornament. Your New Year's card was beautiful also. Thank you for thinking of me. Hope you are doing well. I survived massive layoffs Friday (We went from about 99 employees and contractors down to 66.) I'm getting too old for this. ;-)

Roger's not the only one who finds the ornament beautiful. Its owner is inordinately fond of it too.
