If you're allergic to glue, this seems like a great way to make a book: just fold it to hold the pages in place. This form is apparently called a blizzard book and is based on origami folds. This example is from Green Chair Press, which makes some incredibly innovative and lovely books. I've seen their work at several Book Fairs and always wanted to come home with one of each. Appropriately enough, they've used this structure for a book called Mini Haiku. I love it when structure and content complement each other.

And, fabulously enough Green Chair has PDF instructions for this and other book forms that you can download for $5 a pop. I'm gonna get me one and try this. It looks like fun.
