Hmm, well, I can see a book on CSS in my future. The Templates are definitely trickier than they are in WebCrimson, mostly because they come in bits and pieces. There's a separate style sheet, separate bits for the various parts of the layout, and separate templates for the archives (which is also like WebCrimson). I feel a little at sea like I still do in Photoshop, as though I have not yet grokked the underlying paradigm of the coding. I haven't been able to figure out how to get graphics into the sidebar yet, which means I've lost my link to the terror alert bar and to NYCBloggers, both of which I want to get back. I'll add some more typelists, later, probably. I'm also missing the Comic Sans font. And, alas, there is still no spell check. Is that against the rules of blogging? Is spell checking not spontaneous enough?
On the up side, I like the look of the templates, and the initial setup is much easier than WebCrimson's. I don't think it'll be that hard to get the hang of the templates, and if you're not hung up about that anyway, this seems like a great service. Lots of point and click. Me, I like to get my hands dirty with code, so I find it a little frustrating that I don't know enough yet. I think this will be a great place to post the Fabulosity tips. Also a good place to post photos of the bookmaking process for Long Meg.
